For the original MK1 Clio, the popular 1.2 litre sizes (1171cc) are found in models such as the “Oasis” and “Paris” and there is also a 1108cc size for the “Night & Day”. These Clio cars all stand at #3/20 (no info on the #/50). For the MK2 Clio the insurance rates are lower, but they do differ across models, but the Clio “Liberte” model stands clear at the low insurance group of #2/20 and #5/50. For the MK3 Clio, again the insurance groups change per models, but there is interestingly a 1461cc Clio “Authentique DCI (68)” that alike the MK2 stands at #2/50 and #5/50. For cheap car insurance for young drivers, the Renault Clio is a good contender and the looks across every such marking have certainly been impressive. It will be interesting to see how the MK4 looks that is set to arrive in 2012.
